You Don’t Have to Choose a Side | blog

An offering of breath for those who need it:

I am not silent because I don’t care.
I am silent because I refuse to be weaponized.

I do not belong to red or blue, to outrage nor dogma.
I belong to the space where truth can breathe.

I will not let my life force be siphoned by the fires of division.
I will not feed hatred with my focus or pour fuel on the noise.

I choose to stand at the still point —
the quiet center where compassion lives,
where grief and love can sit at the same table
and nothing has to be solved before it can be felt.

I am allowed to be here.
I am allowed to see all sides without being claimed by any of them.
I am allowed to hold hope for humanity
without taking up arms in its wars.

This is not apathy.
This is reclamation.
This is remembering that I am sovereign,
that my energy is sacred,
and that my offering to this world
is clarity — not chaos.
