Shelly Moore is an American author, storyteller, and former paranormal investigator with a longstanding fascination for the strange, the unexplained, and everything that goes bump in the night.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Shelly now lives just outside Boston, Massachusetts. Over the years, she’s spent time investigating allegedly haunted locations across the country and even enjoyed a brief stint as a rock radio personality. Both experiences provided plenty of inspiration—and probably a few stories best left untold.
In October 2026, her collection of twenty original short stories, A Heaping Handful of Horror, was professionally released through Velox Books, bringing her dark, unsettling fiction to readers in print, digital, and audio formats.
Shelly is also the creator of Limitless Stimulus, a writing platform she founded in 2019 as a place to share her poetry and fiction. What began as a personal blog eventually grew into an international community of readers and listeners, thanks in part to her original horror narrations on YouTube.
When she isn’t writing, she’s a mom to two humans and three rescued four-legged troublemakers. She still dreams of seeing her stories adapted for the screen and hearing her poetry brought to life through music.
For now, she’s perfectly content putting unsettling thoughts into other people’s heads.
