Here’s Why We Stop Letting People “In” | short blog

The reason we stop letting people “in” is because we grow tired of being met with resistance or opinion instead of empathy and compassion when we open up and allow ourselves to share the more difficult details of our lives with others.

Social media has taught us it’s easier and far more socially acceptable to only share the brag-worthy.

This has led to an epidemic of imbalance for which we desperately need a cure.

That cure is transparency and empathy.

Allow yourself to be human.

Replace the need to reply with learning how to simply be quiet and completely receptive when someone opens up to you.

Most aren’t looking for your answers in our moments of vulnerability – we’re looking for your connection.

Connection is what opens the door for healing.
